History

St. Paul Learning Center, Inc. was founded in Ormoc City, in 1975 when Mrs. Elisa Moya-Aviles opened a nursery school to cater to her own children, and to those of friends and relatives. When her family moved to Cebu City, she decided to transfer the school also. This, in 1982, in partnership with Ma. Antonia M. Mendezona (a co-employee at St. Benedict’s Learning Center) St. Paul Preschool Center was established in Cebu City. With the expiration of the partnership in 1987, Mrs. Elisa Aviles became the sole owner of St. Paul Learning Center.

Presently, it is called St. Paul Learning Center, Inc. and is a corporation duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The school has been given by the Department of Education the recognition for its early childhood department in 1995-1996. It is presently situated in its campus at Don Gervacio Quijada St., Guadalupe, Cebu City. It has made a quantum leap to a full preschool, grade school and high school departments.

School Year 2008-2009 saw another milestone in the history of St. Paul when it forged ties with Beaconhouse School System, the world’s largest private education network.
